You might think it is always too warm to sit around a fire, but a fire pit or fireplace is a great and functional part of your backyard space. Even in hot weather, they make an attractive feature that is aesthetically pleasing, while at cooler times of the year they can give you the warmth you need to spend a little longer outdoors.
What is the Difference Between a Fire Pit and Fireplace?
Both are used for controlling the burning of fires, and the major difference is in the style of the fire container. A fireplace is usually a tall construction with an opening on the front or sides for the heat to escape and be used. A fire pit has an open top for the heat to escape from, and so is normally a much shorter construction.
Because of this, fireplaces tend to require people to sit in front of them to be effective, where fire pits encourage people to sit all the way around them.
Testimonial – Lisa C.
Greenstar Eco just completed a makeover of my backyard. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the finished product! Dan was great to work with, punctual, and his design was just what I was looking for. His crew showed up in the morning both days that work was progressing, on time and ready to work. I believe their names were Cameron and Jose. It just so happened that the two days that they were working, were the hottest days of the year so far! I felt so bad for them! But they got right to work, and my house and yard were spotless when they were finished. From start to finish, a first rate job. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!
